          Even if it is has been consigned to history now, even if the grill fences, barbed wire, barricades and spring guns have been dismantled, the minefields cleared, the watch-towers blown and the trenches filled and covered with fresh greenery - for all those who had to live with it and suffer from it, the inhumane border that split Germany over forty years, is not forgotten.

          Information on the Museum

          Here, you will be informed about the salt spring, salt-making and the transport of the "white gold" on the old salt routes. The salt bible of Rhenanus, the "Ewige Location" with 53 official seals and much more never ceases to amaze.

          Information on the Museum

          At Brunnenplatz 2 is the Luditzer Heimatmuseum (Local History Museum) established in 1961, which is dedicated to the Bohemian district town of Luditz. There, written archives, photographs, an Egerlaender farmhouse parlour, costumes, porcelain and other objects are displayed which are reminiscent of the former hometown of those who had to flee after the 2nd World War.
