Rambling Routes

The city of Bad Sooden-Allendorf offers 16 rambling routes.

The rambling routes available here as downloads are the best quality routes with the following stages:

e.g. Rosskopfturm, Otterbachstein, Meissnerblick, Panoramarundweg, Hörne (shell limestone towering offshoot of the limestone rockface Gobert), Schöne Aussicht etc. In May 2007, the city fortification Römerlager und the cairns were adopted in the hiking plan as part of rambling route no. 13.

A corresponding map of trails (scale 1:25.000) with cycling and walking routes as well as Nordic walking routes and an additional walking route description can be purchased at the local bookshop and at the Tourist Information Centre.

Seven cycling routes totalling 200 km. are available in Bad Sooden-Allendorf with its idyllic landscape. Even the Werratal cycling route, one of the most popular German cycling routes, leads directly through the twin town.
